Soap Making

 

Well, if you are a fan of handmade soap, this is your chance to try your hand at this wonderful craft and develop it into a hobby. Just melt old soap lying around your home in an aluminium pan and pour it into a mould to cool and solidify.

You can add oils or other ingredients and fragrances of your choice into the soap mixture to give it a distinct character. Candle Making

 

Candle-making can be a very therapeutic exercise and it is the best way to spend your time at home. Take sticks of candle or lumps of wax and heat it in an aluminium pan till molten. Collect an assortment of dried flowers, cinnamon sticks, and dried fruits and decorate them in a mould where you will be pouring in hot wax.

You can also make your candle a fragrant one by adding fragrant oils to the molten mixture. You can also carve the candle to your desired shape and sculpt it as you wish to.

Pasta Making

 

Cooking can be a very calming exercise, especially if you are someone who does not cook regularly. But preparing raw materials at home can be an even more rewarding experience. Today we will discuss how pasta dough is made at home. Take a mix of semolina flour and make a mound of the flour on a wooden board.

Then create a hollow in the mound and pour four large eggs whisked in a bowl. Then slowly mix a little dough from around the hollow and knead it well. A little olive oil and a few teaspoons of water can be added to moisten the dough. Cover with a cling wrap and refrigerate for upto a day if not using immediately.
